SLG Spotlight: Jordan McCarroll

This week’s SLG Spotlight is on our Transactional Attorney Jordan McCarroll!
Jordan grew up in the small town of Pilot Point, Texas and attended Texas A&M for her undergraduate studies. It wasn’t until her very last semester at A&M that she decided to try for law school. Jordan attended Baylor Law School, but considers herself to be a proud A&M Aggie first and foremost! Jordan had originally thought that she would go into Real Estate Law and open a title company with her brother, but during law school, the real estate market crashed. She considers it a blessing in disguise because she ended up working with Lewis Stevens at a small firm in Fort Worth practicing corporate and equine law. When he wanted to retire, Jordan had the experience and knowledge to help get her to Shields Legal Group.
Outside of her passion for law, Jordan is a devoted family person and animal lover. Jordan’s father is a large animal veterinarian, so she has been around animals her entire life. Jordan has a vivacious spirit and loves to travel, spend time with her dog, cook, try new foods and wine, and stay physically active (her Peloton bike is her current favorite!). Jordan is a BIG Dallas Stars fan and is a ticket season holder with her dad. She enjoys taking her nieces and nephews to the games for some quality Auntie Jordie time.
Jordan is proud to be from a very tight, close-knit family. Her parents have been married for 46 years and she has 4 older brothers. Jordan tells us that one of the many reasons she loves the Shields Legal Group team is because they “emulate a family mentality in what they do." Jordan says that “we’re like one big family and we can joke with each other, question each other, and everyone wants to help you learn and grow."
Giving back to the community is another passion of Jordan’s. She is an active member of the Junior League of Dallas. Through that, her current placement has her volunteering at The Perot Museum of Nature and Science and she hopes to continue this placement next year. Jordan is also a member of Saint Michaels and All Angels Episcopal church and plans to increase her giving and community service through that as well.
Jordan has been a deeply valued member of the SLG team for the past 3 years. She is passionate about helping her clients find solutions to their problems, and she conducts herself with the upmost integrity and professionalism.
